Alexandru Patatics is a Romanian visual artist whose work reflects his interest in interdisciplinary projects, including video installations, mixed media, and collaborative art performances. His interactive and ambient-related installations have been presented at prestigious international contemporary art events, such as the Venice Biennale, Sao Paulo Biennale, ICC Tokyo, ZKM Karlsruhe in Germany, and Cleveland, USA. He is a lecturer at the National University of Arts Bucharest, a member of the International Association of Art Critics, and the founder of the FORMAT Cultural Foundation. His professional activities encompass numerous artistic and curatorial projects exhibited in Romania, Hungary, Germany, Japan, Slovakia, Belgium, Norway, China, Brazil, Great Britain, and the USA.
